Welcome Back!
Hello fabulous fifth graders,
I'm Mrs. Fitzpatrick, one of your fifth grade teachers. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and hearing about the wonderful and wacky things you did over vacation.
I have been busy getting our classroom ready. I have many big plans for the year and I am eager for it to begin. I hope to make fifth grade an exciting and memorable year for you.
I bet you are wondering about our schedule!
We have Music on Mondays and Wednesdays,
Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Art on Fridays.
Fifth grade is a special year for you. You are the role models and leaders of our school. These are big shoes to fill, but I know you all are up for the challenge! Many students in the younger grades will look to you for guidance, especially during the first few days of school. Be on the look-out for younger students who look like they may need assistance, especially when locating their classroom, office, or a bathroom.
Finally, the most important thing for you to bring to our class on the first day is a smile! I am looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, September 4th. If you have any questions please feel to contact me. My e-mail is dfitzpatrick@bpsk12.org
Let’s have an awesome year together!

Jamestown
This summer I traveled to Virginia to visit my daughter, Kelley. While I was there we visited the site of the original Jamestown settlement. As fifth graders you will learn about the Early English Settlements, Roanoke, Jamestown and Plymouth. I’m excited to share with you what I learned!
